DIFFERENT TELECOM SERVICES THAT YOU CAN MAKE MONEY FROM.

It is not a fallacy to say that the 3 major GSM providers (MTN, CELTEL AND GLO) are raking in millions of naira everyday; the money is from you and I that make use of their services on a regular basis. We all know the importance of communications in our everyday live, from maintaining relationship, overseeing our family welfare and safety when we are not physically present and closing good business deals. It is not possible anymore to live without the GSM technology.
Let’s look at some case study to see how MTN, CELTEL AND GLO have impacted on our life positively and how we can start making money from it ALSO.

SENDING CASH TO LOVE ONES AND FRIENDS.
First inland Bank Plc has made this very possible with the introduction of their flash me cash club concept. You can send money from your cell phone to your friend in another state or place without going to the bank. Your friend does not even need to maintain a bank account with first inland bank to collect his money. This has been able to reduce stress a long way.

MOBILE/ONLINE BANKING: After the consolidation exercise, most of the banks discover more innovative ways to keep old accounts and keep new ones. One of these innovative ways was the mobile banking. This product has so much to offer, one of which is the customer’s ability to check his account balance with his cell phone, pay some of his utility bills and so on. This innovative product has also made it possible for inter bank transfer to become a reality since the transaction takes place in real time.

E-ALERTS: This is novel; it usually notifies you via an SMS on what is happening. You have news alerts, like the one that NTA does, where they send you 5 headlines everyday. Security agencies are also trying to establish this innovation using the telecom companies. Whereby you will be, notify via sms the status of your car if it is reported stolen. Like the GPRS/SMS product that was advertised by MTN not too long ago, it will tell you approximately, where your car is. Therefore, security agencies like the Police can easily trace your car.

SHORT CODE MESSAGE SERVICE: This is a novel one. the most current user is John Fashanu and Oceanic Bank Internation in their football challenge with FASH. It is a short message service only in this case your message get sent to a five digit number, it usually costs between 10 naira and above to send a particular message. It is also employed by the “who wants to be a millionaire” programme that current runs on the NTA network. For you to participate you have to text a message to their short code number.

INTERNET BROWSING SIM: It was becoming very embarrassing going to the café to browse because of the presence of ‘yahoo rats, also known as yahoo yahoo boys. Either the speed drops drastically because of their nefarious software’s or security operatives swooped on you in the café or if you are not able to explain yourself, you are in for it. But with the introduction of the GPRS technology by MTN and GLO this problem has gone down. You can make so much money with this service as I will reveal later. With the coming on stream of the 3G technology, this service just opened up a lot of potentials for all those that will take their time to learn and apply themselves to it.
